Athletic Vice President of FC Barcelona, Josep Maria Bartomeu, celebrated the team’s good finish to the year, that ended with the qualification for the round of 16 of the King’s Cup and with the Club World Cup victory last Sunday. “It has been a fantastic year. We must celebrate it and hope for a 2012 as successful as this one.” On the overwhelming victory against Hospitalet, Bartomeu said that the team “played very well. It was evident that they were eager. They came back from the World Cup and they played spectacularly.” He was also visibly pleased that the people “enjoyed the match,” especially on a day like today, with the celebration of the Diada del Socio Solidario (Day of Member Solidarity). Lastly, the vice president didn’t have a preference on Barça’s next rival in the Cup. (via FCBarcelona.cat)
