Vanessa Minnillo's Las Vegas Bachelorette Party
With her wedding to Nick Lachey expected to be any day now, Vanessa Minnillo had a bachelorette party in Vegas the weekend before last. She kicked off the weekend at LAVO at the Palazzo with a night of dancing with friends (We celebrated Annie’s bachelorette party there, too!) Vanessa invited the first person who came to her table and and proved it was their birthday could come join her table — an offer she made good when a club patron celebrating his birthday approached the table with his girlfriend.
Vanessa’s friends surprised her with a midget impersonating Nick who serenaded her with 98 Degrees songs. We would pay money to see that!

On Saturday, Vanessa hit Marquee Dayclub at the Cosmpolitan and celebrated from a poolside cabana. Smart girl that she is, Vanessa found a bachelor celebrating his own upcoming wedding and invited the groom and his friends to take a dip in her cabana's Jacuzzi.

Jerseylicious Beach Beauty Tips
1. Condition: The sun makes your hair dry and dead. So while you’re laying out, put some leave-in conditioner or use a treatment in your hair to prevent damage.
2. A tan is a must have! But no tan is worth ruining your skin. Make sure you throw on sunscreen even if it’s a low number sunscreen like 4! Just don’t put baby oil on!
3. Get yourself a maxi dress. It can come in handy as a cover up for your bathing suit or could be cute for dinner right from the beach/pool.
4. Summer is great for hats. Either a big floppy hat to block the sun or a cute straw fedora to match your sundress.
5. Make-up is not necessary for the beach. But a bare face isn’t right either. So put on some mascara on top and bottom lashes, it will brighten up your eyes! (Never know when you’ll run into a cutie on the beach!)
Brooke Burke's Favorite Ways to Splurge
When asked about her favorite place to go with her girlfriends, Brooke didn't say Vegas or Rio. So where does she most like to get away?
"I'm a fan of staycations, creating a different environment at home. For example, I bring Italy to Malibu and hire a chef to create a delicious dinner. I don't want to spend time traveling. It's all about making the most of being at home and splurging in a smart way."
Another of Brooke's favorite smart splurges is Suave Naturals sweet pea and violet lotion. "It smells really rich" she says.

Kate Walsh's Boyfriend Perfume
The bottle is imprinted with boyfriends' names as a reminder of the ghosts of boyfriends past. Showing Kate's playful side, she included her lawyer's name and her cat's on the bottle.
Keeping in our own tradition (and being virtually goaded by our friend, Paula) we asked Kate to describe co-star Taye Digg's abs in one word. Kate's reply: Abtastic! Gotta love the woman for knowing how good she has it!
Boyfriend is available at Sephora and on HSN.
Tika Sumpter Talks About Saving the Planet—and Kissing Nate and Chuck
Last week, we had the chance to talk with new Gossip Girl cast member, Tika Sumpter. She was at a Body Shop event promoting the 3-Minute Shower Challenge. Turns out reducing your shower time from 3 minutes to 10 would save 50 gallons of water per shower! If that's unrealistic for you—and hey, no judgments. Long, hot showers are definitely one of our biggest vices—even just shortening your shower time will help. Or try showering every other day when possible.
Another way to make your shower better for the earth is to use a eco-friendly shower gel. The new Body Shop Shower Gels for Earth Lovers are 100 percent biodegrabable and are sulphate, paraben and colorant free. They also come in a 100 percent recycled plastic bottle. The shower gels are available in six delicious scents, including pear and lemongrass and fig and rosemary.
Watch the video above to see Tika Sumpter talk about her involvement in the campaign. Be sure to watch to the end where she reveals who she like kissing better as Raina Thorpe on Gossip Girl, Chuck Bass or Nate Archibald!
Water for Elephants Review

| After the movie and our RPattz sighting with Amber and Dina. |
So how was the movie? I read the book and am about the only person I know who wasn't a huge fan. The author of the book is a woman and the narrator, Jacob, (RPattz in the movie), always felt flat and forced to me on paper. On screen that wasn't an issue. Add in a very Marlene Dietrich-esque Reese Witherspoon, gorgeous clothes and a frisky elephant who can't keep her hands off Robert and it makes for a very enjoyable, if slightly slow, two hours. I'm sure this movie will be a huge hit thanks to all the legions of RPattz fans.
Now, back to Robert Pattinson, the person. He seemed nervous while watching the film. (I can only imagine what it's like to see yourself and months of hard work on the big screen in front of an audience!) He ran his fingers through his hair several times, fidgeted a lot and even got up to get his own popcorn (Dina walked by right by him on her way back from the ladies!!). He was at the premiere with girlfriend Kristen Stewart, who is just on this side of painfully skinny--you can see the outline of her shoulder bones clearly. They didn't smooch or even chat much during the movie. I think it's a sign they're not happy together—giving hope to the rest of us!
We also saw Reese Witherspoon at the premiere. She was originally seated behind RPattz, but her handlers moved her shortly after the movie started and we didn't see her again. He's so tall, maybe she couldn't see the screen?
A big thanks to Dove Visible Care Body Wash, which sponsored the red carpet at the Water for Elephants screening and kindly extended my invitation. As Megan from Daily Makeover pointed out, at one point in the movie, Robert Pattinson's character says, "The first thing you notice about a woman is her skin." I've long been a fan of Dove body washes and Visible Care is a new favorite. It really does leave my skin feeling softer and more moisturized after every shower.

The Best Looks from the Oscars
Today's post is from stylist Christina Joy.
Last night's Academy Awards were a pleasant surprise. More of the ladies seemed to get it right this time.
Although it goes without saying that a select group of leading ladies didn't quite nail this performance. What many of them (and their stylists) tend to forget is that the Oscars are a stage and the world serves as their audience and critics. Now you wouldn't send an actress out on stage in the wrong costume without proper hair and make-up, would you? So why on the world stage do so many get it wrong?
I wish these women would remember that just because it's the Oscars it doesn't mean that you have to look overdone. Remember you have to work with what you have. It's always better to look "you" appropriate than not like you at all. Too many of the women look like they handed themselves over like dolls and said, "make me look good". There was an abundance of fussy hair, bad up-do's, fake tans and barely there make-up. While others chose the completely wrong dress for their features, age and look.
It also seemed like there was a lot of stylist influence which isn't always such a good thing. In other words, actresses were wearing looks and acclaimed designers not because it looked good on them but because they want to be viewed as fashion icons with a broad fashion vocabulary. Ladies, you shouldn't try so hard to make a statement because truth is, no one will remember what you're trying to say but they will remember how bad you looked.
But those who got it right nailed the formula - a dress that fits their figure and who they are plus luminous make-up that flatters their features balanced by hair that complements the whole look.
Halle Berry glowed and sparkled in Marchesa.
Mila Kunis was sweet yet mischievous in Elie Saab.
Scarlett Johansson was sexy and sultry in Dolce and Gabbana.
Reese Witherspoon was sleek and sophisticated in Armani Prive.
Mandy Moore looked fun and flirty performing on stage in a Monique Lhullier cobalt confection.
Camila Alves looked daring and different in Kaufman Franco.
Jennifer Lawrence was sunny and bright in Calvin Klein Collection.
Annette Bening was simple yet elegant in Naeem Khan.
Last but not least, Anne Hathaway got 3 of her 7 seven looks exactly right during the broadcast. Look 1 in Givenchy,
Look 2 in Lanvin and
Look 4 in Oscar de la Renta.

Jennifer Aniston's Favorite Vacation Spot
"It's Anguilla in the Caribbean. It's just very far, not that easy to hop on a plane and go. I love the ability to really relax. Even if I'm just sitting in my house, I still have work, whether it's dealing with a production company or future project. What I love is the ocean. I hear it and go calm. It allows you to truly refuel."We're betting Aniston rents a private villa when she goes, though the Viceory Anguilla is pretty spectacular.

Best Dressed at the Golden Globes
Our favorite stylist Christina Joy shares with us her picks for best-dressed in the Golden Globes. Let us know if you agree in the comments below.
There were many surprises on the red carpet at last night's Golden Globes. Some were hits, some were misses. So many of the ladies got the dress right but the hair and make-up were just completely wrong. Other ladies listened to the wrong advisers and went avant-garde when it didn't exactly fit their body or look. And a few were, as Goldilocks says, just right. Here are my picks for the best in show.
Best in show...for her sultry sophistication.
Mila Kunis in Vera Wang
Best in show...for her grace and poise.
Catherine Zeta-Jones in Monique Lhuillier
Best in show...for her glow.
Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad
Best in show...for being comfortable in her own skin.
Annette Bening in Tom Ford
Best in show...for her sparkling smile.
Piper Perabo in Oscar de la Renta
Best in show...for her flawless skin head to toe...and because she can wear just about anything and look good.
Halle Belle in Nina Ricci
