[Former president] Laporta: "I understand that Guardiola reflect on its renewal"

The former president of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, understand that Pep Guardiola take time for reflection to decide whether to renew his contract as coach of azulgrana.

"Guardiola has given everything, you are giving it all as a coach and as 'culé', and the decision you make will be thoughtful, reasoned and must respect," said Laporta, Democràcia Catalan party leader, in a press conference in the Parliament.

The former president barcelonista avoided Guardiola must decide whether to continue or not in front of the azulgrana equipment, since he thinks is a very personal decision, noting that the Santpedor is the main architect, along with the players that Barça is now considered the best club in the world.

"Pep always said that renew every year, and has every right to think to make an important decision. I understand that makes this period of reflection" he said.

Laporta Accordingly, there stressed that Guardiola is "sufficiently mature and intelligent" to assess all the elements before deciding whether or not renew his contract, which ends June 30. (via SPORT)
