The venue for the final of the Copa del Rey will not be known before 29 February.
The RFEF has rejected the option of playing the final at the Stade de France in Paris.
Director of Institutional Relations of Real Madrid, Emilio Butragueño said his club has a clear stance not to give the Santiago Bernabéu stadium for the final of the Copa del Rey between Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao. "Real Madrid is very clear," said Butragueño in response to the question about the position of his club for the final cup-bearer, in which the two finalists were in favor of the Santiago Bernabéu as the ideal, and Real Madrid claims can not accept it because it will undertake such works.
Butragueño represented by white set Thursday in the Assembly of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) who re-elected as president Ángel María Villar, in which Barcelona was represented by its board spokesman, Toni Freixa. "Nobody asked me anything" in the Cup final during the assembly, said Butragueño.
Sources indicated that RFEF probably will not happen in the final stage until after the friendly match between Spain and Venezuela, to be played Feb. 29 at the stadium in La Rosaleda of Málaga. The RFEF, which already has certain Real Madrid's refusal to give the Bernabéu for the match, 24 hours ago received the official offer stadium of France in Paris to host the match between Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao, that option is ruled out, federal sources confirmed.
